I'm Pretty Sure Their Not Edible

Cruz got to help decorate the Christmas tree today. Much to my surprise, he has been less then thrilled with the tree thus far. But once the lights and ornaments went up, it was game on. He has made a mad dash for the tree every time its caught his eye. Our tree is only decorated from the middle to the top, where the ornaments will be safe from the Wild Ruzy Bear.

Wasn't quite sure what to make of it yet.

 

Had to give it a little lick to make sure it was legitimate.

Once he hung it on the tree, he was clearly thrilled with himself and seeking approval from all bystanders!

And now he is shutting the lens on this camera and we are headed to bed!!

Pajama Day

Cruz and his mom are very under the weather!
This is the first time I have really been sick since I had Cruz. And its miserable. Last night we went to bed at 5pm! And Cruz was AMAZING. He fell asleep as soon as we got in bed and stayed asleep until 7:30.
I was ecstatic. Until we woke up and I realized that I put him to bed in a cloth diaper (we usually use a disposable at night. More absorbent) and that his cloths were COMPLETELY soaked through!

For some reason this always makes me feel like the worse mom ever. Eh-vher!

But despite the diaper, he woke up in great spirits! His eye looks much better.

But can we talk about whoever invented the treatment for Pink eye? Its a drop that you have to put in the eye 4 times a day. FOUR times? I can hardly get it in his eye once, let alone four times. Are you kidding? Who thought this would be conducive to healing? I'm more like to gauge his eye out with the dropper then to heal the infection. I am thoroughly unimpressed.

And on top of that, I'm supposed to give him an oral antibiotic twice a day to take care of the sinus infection.

Needless to say, I have yet to get all SIX doses of medication into the specified 24 hour period.

I've concluded that its humanly impossible.

But what Cruz does love about sick days is that he gets to spend the entire day in pajamas (O.K, lets be honest, he spends a lot of days in his pajamas but, ya know...)

The flash hurts his eyes.

His mystified look. Hilarious, no?

Discovered the lens cap to my camera. Its now impossible to photograph him without him trying to put the cap back on the lens.

Christmas Tree Excursion

Every year, we get a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving.


And we do it the good ol' fashion way. None of this pre-cut, cement lots on the side of the road nonsense. If you dont chop it down with your own two hands (or 5 or 6 hands, we usually have to take turns because its WAY harder then it looks to cut down a tree. So much for my lumberjacking career) then it doesnt count.


We also tried to do our family picture at the Christmas tree farm this year. It was really hard to get a good shot of 7 people at the same time.


Really hard.


Plus, there wasnt really ever anyone around that we could harass into taking our picture, so one person always had to be left out of the shot while they played photographer.


All and all it was good fun.

Cruz and my sisters boyfriend, Brett. He has been around since Cruz was born and they adore each other. Obviously.

In typical Cruz fashion, he passed out as soon as we got there. 

He is getting too big for this sling & his sweet little feet always poke out the side.

Finally, a good one!

On a far less festive note, Cruz is sick AGAIN! He has a sinus infection AND pink eye. Poor little guy! The pink eye is definitely the worst part of it.  I hate seeing him like this! Fortunately, he is still in good spirits. Hang in there my little trooper.

But mom, everyones doing it!
